Any Idea How to Use Hotspot?

Does anyone knows how to use hotspot for wireless lappie over here?
i'd like to know if i can borrow the wireless network when surfing net in coffee bean. -

You need to have an account with one of the ISPs here. If you intend to surf for free, go McDonalds.

ok. let's say if i have a wireless connection with singnet, i can just walk into coffee bean and type in my pw then surf the net rite? is that all?
