Transferring Files from 1 Laptop to Another

  I've bought my new Acer 3280 and wish to transfer my existing files from my Acer Aspire 1700 to my Acer 3280. Which is the easiest and fastest ways?

  download hamachi > form a LAN> share files... then transfer everything over the net haha
  
  or just create 2 msn accts and send over msn over night ^_^

  Use a LAN cable. Make sure it's a cross cable.

  after getting your cross cable ethernet cable, go to control panel, network setup wizard, choose the options without internet connections, select 'enable file sharing'.
  
  remember to do this to both of the computers. Off your firewall, go to ''view network connections'' and ''view workgroup computers''.
  
  You will need to ''share the folder'' that you are transferring.
  To do this, right click on that folder, go to 'sharing' tab and enable file sharing

  I was thinking whether I'm able to transfer the files over the wireless connection that I'm on ? Cause I hook up all my 3 systems into my router.

  can...you have to go my computer->computer name->workgroup->(name the same workgroup for all systems)
  enable all file sharing...then go to my network places->at the left side...thats a view all workgroup computer(click)->and you can select which comp and file you wanna exchange to and fro...
