Abig problem in my set up

I was about to download the microsoft defender and window media 11(beta) when i came across this problem where by they say they cant detect if my window is genuine. What am i suppose to do? I do not wish to buy again...and i m certain my windows is genuine.

Is yours a laptop?
If yes, check the base for a validation sticker. If there's no sticker, that means it isn't genuine. All laptops using genuine Microsoft OS will have that sticker given by Microsoft.
If it is a desktop, did you bought it from retailers like Harvey Norman and Courts? If yes, then it shouldn't be a problem.
If you bought it from some other shops in Funan or Sim Lim (branded ones like HP, Acer, Compaq, etc), be sure to check the sides for the Microsoft sticker.
If you custom built it, double check that the Microsoft OS disc you bought is a real one. There are some fakes on the shelves which looks like the real ones, and Microsoft offers exchange for it. Call up Microsoft and they will gladly help you. -

Perhaps it's been reinstalled too many times. do a windows update and ur prob will be solved....make sure this patch(some validation/genuine kinda patch) is selected.

Beta version, as said, is still in testing stage, but available for public. It's up to them to download it. Problems with using the software will then be reported to the developers. But if it damages other things, they aren't responsible. -

So there's no way you can check. Even if the salesman is using a legitimate version, Microsoft can't help. Another way is to ask your friend help you download? Then send the installation file to you. Theres a possibility that it may not install though.
