Needs urgent help...

I needs some urgent help with some problems on my laptop... FYI my laptop is using windows XP...
It seems like my laptop is being 'controlled' by someone else... Even though I did not right click my right mouse things like this
keeps coming out automatically and most of the times the options there were being clicked automatically... Also, the cursor of the mouse in the windows moves without me controlling the mouse...
I tried system restore but my computer doesn't allow me to do so and my anti spyware and anti virus tools detected nothing... So are there anyways that I can solve this problem? Also what caused it to happen? Thanks! -
i last time i've experience this was PC anywhere software.
Since you've already have the intention to do a format.
You could log into Safe Mode and do a scan first.
Unplug your internet connection before you scan - though it's in safe mode.
Wait for the rest to aid you. My software knowledge very poor, sorry.
But if you can't wait. You may log into command prompt and do a fdisk. then do your PC recovery. -
are you using it in an air con room?sometimes my mouse-pad will be out of control too...without using the moving mouse...
why not post the task manager here and let us see what kind of process are running...
if you are worried someone has taken control...run safe mode...disconnect from the net...back up all your stuff...and do a scan...disable all settings like remote desktop help...remote registry help(under services...type service.msc at run) -
or why not you try deleting your user profile...its a alternative to reformating...
step 1)backup all your stuff in a external source(dvd,cd,hard-disk)
step 2)my computer->properties->advanced->user profile->settings
step 3)create a new user under user account(make sure you give it full admin rights)
step 4)after creation...restart comp and log on using the new account...
step 5)follow step 2...copy the profile settings from the old one to the new one..
step 6)delete the old profile
note:remember to backup everything...including the stuff on your desktop and documents in the user profile...everything you save in there will be wiped out... -
yeah.....KILL the intruder by formatting the PC.....that way....you ensure the bugger is gone..........for internet stealth...use webroot spysweeper..........quite good............and if you need to go online undetected or you need more stealth.......use some software like mask surf......to protect your IP address.....that way people will not detect your presence that easily.........and if the intruder does get in anyway anyhow......KILL THE PC......hehehe.....just joking......don't think i am that psychotic.....hehe

However, the problems still persists occasionally although not as severe as previously before I carried out my scan...
Also, I would like to confirm whether it is because one of the sites that I visits being hacked with Hacktool.HideWindow.exe files that caused my comp to be in this state? Thanks! -
A simple way to find out whether its controlled by a real life human/hacker. Disconnect from internet, like the ppl above have said. And see if it happens again

Hacktool is related to IRC and trojan programs. Do you use any IRC-related chat client as your chat program? If yes, most likely you are infected through there.Originally posted by potong jalan:Thanks for everyone's advices...

If no, that means you have fallen into a trap set up by hackers. Usually through clicking of links in emails, pop-up advertisements or some warez websites.
My advice is to go and install anti-trojan horse program from Agnitum and remove it.
It may stay in the registry, so you have to get a registry cleaner like Registry Mechanic. Scan for registry keys related to Hacktool and delete them manually from the registry. Trial version of Registry Mechanic doesn't allow help you to remove the registry keys. -

It means it is still in the registry. You have to use a registry scanner like the one I recommend, find the keys and remove them manually. 1) Restart your computer in safe mode. Let it rest for about 5 minutes before restarting.
2) Start up your antivirus and scan.
3) Locate the path of the files and press Shift + Delete
You may need to show hidden files and folders.
1) Open My Computer.
2) Go to Tools, Folder Options.
3) Select View tab. In Hidden Files and Folders, select Show Hidden Files and Folders. -
You're infected with a trojan horse... If you ask me, I would likely reformat my computer simply because even if you detect some trojan horse files and delete them, you can never be too sure that you have got rid totally clean off these things, so in order to be sure, just reformat the whole PC and remember next time don't anyhow open files that are suspicious.

I tried possible ways but still unable to solve the problem... The problems persists even if I am in safe mode of my comp...
In the end I lan lan no choice but to reinstall my computer back to factory condition... Just as I thought it will solve my problems, it persists even through I have restore my system to factory condition even before installing my modem to connect to the internet!
One thing to take note is that not every time this problem occurs on my comp but around 80% of the time when I on my comp this happen...
Now I have to send to my laptop manufacturer for repair since the warranty is still valid... Could it be possible that it is a hardware problem? -

Restore to factory settings doesn't help because it isn't a reformat. It doesn't clear everything that is in the computer.
