Msconfig.exe error

  i tried to open msconfig.exe using ''RUN'' but a message box came out.
  
  System Configuration Utility has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
  
  Anyways to resolve this without reinstalling windows/reformat?

  Don't need .exe
  
  Just type in msconfig
