Nope. It might be safer, but it'll just waste system resources for nothing.
I say just install 1 good anti-virus program. -

You want to put 10 also can. Leave 9 off and only one running in system tray. Use the leftover 9 for 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th...etc opinions. You get the drift.

All antivirus are built on different technologies, installing more than one will cause conflicts. -

In my opinion, it's not necessary to install more than 1 anti-virus software. The main objective of anti-virus program is to detect any virus hiding/intruding in your system.
It's better to select a program that is regularly updated with a new virus definition and most important, scan your PC reguarly.
A good anti-virus software and a firewall program will be a better match. -
all i know is nv ever install norton av and trendmicro av together. next thing you is, you pc will take very long to bootup/get blue screen or worst case is nv boot.

I onced installed norton av and ibm av on the same comp, the ibm av detected and cleaned what the norton couldn't. In fact, norton av couldn't do anything, other than tell you its there.
