  befor my download was straggling at pathethic crummy rates of 0 to 5kbps, now even if it is straggling at slow speeds, it wont go down to zero and there is a speed spurt like someone said that happens often enough to make the difference of a few % in a few hours or a 8gb file at 40 something%(now 51%)
  and a 1gb file with little seeders.

  Bit Torrent is all about Seeds and Leechers.
  
  The more Seeders and Leechers you have the better.
  
  The more bandwidth these Seeders and Leechers have the better.
  
  Usually speeds on Private Trackers where you have a ratio (thus u disable DHT, cos you dont want to be sharing with people from outside the tracker) of what you download and upload have better speeds. Some torrents i downloaded from private trackers have maxed my download speed at around 380+ kB/s.
  Private trackers are better for getting scene releases. (www.nforce.nl)
  
  Public trackers for example like PirateBay and TorrentSpy are good for getting older and rare stuff. Speeds here can be horrible sometimes because of the low amount of Seeders and Leechers with low bandwidth. On Public trackers, DHT can help you get more Seeders and Leechers.
  
  It might take a week to download a 800MB rare movie torrent from a PUBLIC tracker.
  
  But only takes less than 30minutes to download a 800MB file from a PRIVATE tracker.

  its fastest for me at night, guess thats when people overseas at the US side are awake, but i dont care, as long as i download finish
