ftdisk is corrupted

  i have this problem
  
  when i install my win xp , it pop out this message
  
  ftdisk is corrupted , setup failed , press a key to restart
  
  anyone know what happened

  ftdisk.sys is Windows fault-tolerance system and is used to create fault-tolerant Raid arrays and such. Errors in that file typically mean that your harddrives are bad.
