Whats the minimium internet speed for gaming online?

  1mbps far too slow...eg tried 5 times to enter a map in Maplestory,all failed..then even if i managed to access..a while later the connection terminated...
  
  whats the minimium internet speed for playing online games w/o any disconnection,lag is understandable...
  
  ps:tried on another computer..not my actual speed

  my connection is around 54mbps.... works fine...

  512k should be more than enough. getting more ram helps too.

  1mbps coupled with a 128mb ram pc can really kill ya
