Graphic Cards Problem.

Hi. Posting on behalf of a friend. He bought a game and he can't play it. Intro screen can be played but before the main screen menu, the game crashes to desktop. Maybe its because of graphic card. The question is:
Can the graphic cards be updated or download from the internet?
He is using Integrated Intel GMA 900 Graphics. This comes along with the computer when he bought it.
Anyone can help??

1st, is your friend's game illegal?
2nd, does your friend has the lastest graphic card driver?
3rd, is his pc loaded with the latest directX?
Try some other game with the same specification, not neccessary is the graphic card problem also.

Compare the driver version with the latest version avaliable, check the graphic card website.
Anyway might not be graphic card problem.

ermm....we are noob in this kind of things... but how to check wad is the latest version or wad?....we went intel.com...but we dont know where to start... -
ok now u press f6 and type "control panel/system"
in the system properties, navigate to hardware>device manager
In the Device Manager, navigate to display adapter and double click your graphic card.
Click the driver tab and compare with the model in intel website. -

Ok. restarted and the same thing. Like Alexkusu said... i think the graphic card is crap!!... hahah
hmmm....how much is the latest graphic card anyway...by nvidia maybe...

Ok, right click "My Computer", click manage and open up the Event Viewer
See your log what exactly happened to your application, then tell us again -

Go find the event of you game only... look in the error logs also.
clear everthing first, and re-run your game, see what events exactly happened -
