Making Sure that it's really deleted.

Not sure if this is the right place to post but can anyone recommend a FREE tool or method that help users make sure that whatever he/she has deleted CANNOT be recovered by some data recovery software?

Try system mechanic, override the deleted programs 10 times with hash, almost 99.9% can't be recovered.

Although normal data recovery software can't really recover much, advanced technology like using magnetic sensors and electron microscopes can recover a lot. These machines aren't cheap, so unless you are doing illegal stuff and get caught by police, you can be pretty sure that data recovery won't have much effect. -

I'm using Free internet eraser. Its free, small and clears the temp internet folder, recycle bin and a few other areas. My dinosaur computer hardly flinches when this program cleans.
It overrides data with 1s, followed by 0s, followed by random 1s and 0s, sets the file size to 0 and then scrambles the file name. Its not the best in the market but it suits my purpose and my obsolete machine.
