Lost all bookmarks

  force shutdown my computer..
  then switch on, mozilla book marks all gone..anyway to restore back?

  Hey, got once my comp also liddat, lucklily i made a backup one way before, lan lan work from there lor.

  i dont see any files pertaining to my bookmarks

  therefore it pays to save your bookmarks and all those internet links..........
  
  had such experience too.....and now i always make sure i keep all my bookmarks somewhere........

  It takes a while to load all the bookmarks. If you can't find it, go to Bookmarks, then select Manage bookmarks. All your bookmarks should be there.

  Before you do this..
  go to my computer
  go to 'tools' , then 'folder options' (all on the toolbar on top)
  go to the 'view' tab then make sure the 'view hidden files and folders' option is checked
  Going back to firefox...
  On the bookmarks tab click 'manage bookmarks'
  then file, 'import'
  select import from file
  in the next menu that pop-up..
  Go to my computer
  go to your main drive.should be C drive
  then 'documents and settings'
  go to the folder with your login name on it
  go to 'Application Data'
  then 'mozilla', 'firefox' and 'profiles'
  go through the last folder which is'xxxxsomethingxxxx.default'
  should see a folder that is named'bookmarkbackups'
  if there are more than 1 bookmark backup file there you should select the one that is the latest created one

  did it prompt u to select profile ?? and u cant select the default profile ?
  
  that what happen to me.
  
  try
  
  1. Close Firefox completely (select File > Exit from the main menu of Firefox).
  2. Select Start > Run... from the Windows Start menu.
  3. Enter firefox.exe -profilemanager and press OK.
  4. than create a new profile , anyname will do.
  5. nw restart pc repeat step 1-3 again than select back yr default profile instead.

  it is better if you have export your bookmarks.
  
  I always do so.
  
  Then save it as today's date.
  
  so that next time easier to reference
