help!! my usb port spoilt?

Hi all,
My usb is not working. i plug in my USB mouse but it is having light up but it just wont move.
Is it becuase i press any lock key or what because all my usb cannot work.
my lap is NEC versa
please help -

How about other USB devices? Can they work?
Next, did it prompt you something like "If you want to keep it working, unplug and plug in again." Then you press OK or Cancel? If you press OK, unplug and plug in again, your USB mouse would work. If you press Cancel and continue working, next time you plug in your USB mouse, the mouse would be officially declared dead.
Lastly, check that the piece of plastic in your USB ports are in. Without that piece of plastic, USB devices won't work. All USB ports must have that piece of plastic, any USB ports that doesn't have will stop all USB ports from working as USB ports share the same IRQ.

try other mouse...i think mouse spoilt...

Hmmm....i hijack this thread la..
ermm... one of my USB port also spoilt i think. I have two ports at the front of comp...
if its working...whenever i insert a usb into it....the computer will make this particular sound.... but when i insert it into the spoilt one... it makes a weird sound...
how how?? -

uninstall & reinstall your drivers

If USB devices can work, not spoilt lor. But it also indicates that your hard disk is working too hard. Uninstall unused applications and clear your temporary files folder.Originally posted by mhcampboy:
