Red crosses appear when there should be pictures

  After my bro reformat the computer, some pictures on websites cannot be seen and red crosses are seen..... When i try to access some websites, a warning msg "IE could not open the search page" appears.... Anybody can help mi with my problem?

  Try changing the settings in your IE's settings under options, could be your security level...

  most of the pictures are in the .jpg format.....

  Open Internet Explorer.
  
  Go to Tools, Internet Options. Select the Advanced tab.
  
  Under Multimedia, tick the box that says "Show pictures"
  
  Apply the settings and restart Internet Explorer.
