After seeing the posts above.. think got tis kanna "cheated" by my sch feeling...
I also bought Fujitsu S7020 at around 2.7k.. Only thing I know is, it is below 2kg, cos I was looking for a light laptop.
so got to see ur requirements.
hmm.. Since u have to intention to bring to and fro school, why buy something that is so heavy?
If burget is impt, why not get dell?
They do have good laptops at a reasonable price, however, dun expect it to last more then 2 years (I have a fren, bought dell for 1 wk and the LCD screen suddenly dun function)

It's unfortunate for Dell to face this phrase. More fortunate that no one got hurt.
Acer is good enough. -
The only disadvantage I find in this one is probably the weight and the battery lifespan. But I think ok lah 2.5kg.. Not say 10 kilo mah.. Do weight training a bit leh hehe..
