  I read it from magazines too, it can burn blu ray discs up to 25gb. And the dual sides one, double that. Holy macaroni, that's larger than both my hdd combined.

  First reason: Damn heavy. At 8.4 pounds, it's nearing 4kg. Might as well ask me to buy one packet of 5kg rice and carry it.
  
  Second reason: Damn expensive.
  
  Third reason: Blu-ray discs aren't available yet, buy for what? By the time it comes out, we have better technology and cheaper....
  
  Fourth reason: External HDD will be cheaper than buying lots of discs....

  there will be these tech geeks who will want to try it first.
  its more of a marketing strategy, they can test the reaction of the market, like profits, reviews and they can benefit from it and develop better notebooks.
