REPORTS SAID eight people were killed in Haifa and others injured after Hezbollah fired rockets at northern Israel on Sunday.
Haifa is home to Intel's Israel Development Centre, responsible for designing its next generation processors. Around 2,000 Intel employees work at the Haifa centre.
The city came under attack from SCUD rockets during the last Gulf War.
The Jerusalem Post reported that the Israeli government has ordered residents of Haifa, Acre and Nesther to stay in bomb shelters. Other IT R&D centres in Haifa include Microsoft, Philips, and IBM. µ
