How to disable MSM messenger?

  As above... i'm not talkin about MSN.. but MSM.. it's some messenger incorporated in windows OS... then out of nowhere i get stupid popups messages from unknown sources..... i remember i disabled it the previous time...but i forgot how... now i formated my comp.. gotta disable it again...
  
  But how?? Any pros know how??

  run> type in services.msc> messenger> double click>startup type>disabled

  Start>Run> and enter this:
  
  RUNDLL32 ADVPACK.DLL,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\MSMSGS.INF,BLC.Remove
