Trend Micro or AVG?

I had just sent my computer for repairs following several episodes of BSoDs. Turns out the problem was the malfunctioning RAM chips (which were then replaced). As part of the repair process, I ordered them to reformat my hard disk and reinstall the software that came with NUS licence. One of them is Trend Micro OfficeScan.
I'm thinking about uninstalling Trend Micro OfficeScan and downloading AVG Antivirus instead. Any comments on whether this is the right thing to do?
Also, I'm relying on ZoneAlarm firewall 6.5.722.000 now. I've read about some of the controversies on ZoneAlarm's firewalls like their adware issues, and I'm wondering if there are any other free reliable firewalls out there.
Will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. -
trendmicro is good.......
alotta big organisations use this....
AVG is free but is good enuf for home user........

Continue using Trend Micro for a few months and monitor if there are BSODs. If there are, uninstall it and install AVG. If there isn't any, then it could be the hardware problem as stated by the technicians. -
AVG is good because TehJarVu uses it, any problem can find him, horhorhor?
I don't use firewall either, not like I have ICBM launch codes or half life episode 2 source codes in my hdd. -

no lar 'paid' version means its paid (pay oredi) so no need to pay ar bo paid oredi still wanna pay meh
