Laptop monitor seems to have some problems.

  The monitor screen of my laptop seems to be having some problems. During Saturday evening when I switched on my laptop the everything is working fine but the screen was so dark that I can only see the brightest part and after 10-15 minutes when I try to adjust the cable that connected between the electric socket and my laptop the monitor was working fine again with everything loaded normally.
  
  At first I thought that some cables in my laptop might not have connected properly. However that night when I started my laptop again this problem persists and I tried the way that I used in the 1st time but of no use and then I tried to adjust the monitor and it works again with everything loaded normally. But weird my laptop did not encounter such problems yesterday.
  
  So where does the fault lies with? The monitor or anything else?

  My laptop is IBM and it's not yet 3 years old.

  Try using other electric sockets. It could be that socket is faulty. If it still gives you the same problem, call IBM.

  An inverter which controls your LCD lighting is going pa cha soon.

  Yup. That's why you have to call IBM if other electric sockets give you the same problem.

  I believes that one of the reasons that I didn't get this problems is that I did not close the computer display the whole day yesterday but once I closed the computer display after shutting down my computer and then restart it the problems starts and I have to adjust either the computer display or the AC adaptor.
  
  I tried to change the AC adaptor and socket but the problems still persists. Think I will go to IBM for a trip since the warranty is still vaild.

  Eh? You said when it's dark only the brightest part can be seen right?
  
  Ok, check that tiny button at bottom of the screen, the one which darkens the screen everytime you press it. Is it spoilt?

  Me believe it's the monitor LCD cable faulty, some models of IBM ThinkPads are common to have this fault like mine... If under warranty, have it changed free-of-charge from their service centre in Changi South...

  BTW for LCD fault is it possible for me to get back my comp within a day if I choose for express servicing?

  Should be able to get back within a day for express servicing.

  Provided that they have the relevant parts... Me remembered when me had my ThinkPad serviced for change of the LCD cable, it took a week as they had no spare parts for it...
