One reason why Apple chooses H.264 coding from Quicktime is that this format could deliver stunning graphic in the least memory. avi is not suitable for portables at its too large. For converting, as long as you get the settings right, there shouldn't be a slightest problem. Well, at least it is for meOriginally posted by Diesel_Dimension:Or just that they didn't state they could play avi and mpg on their specification?
sian then must convert to mp4,rm,mov all those format??,then some program like will change the resolution of the original movie then the face like will be squeezed or stretched enlonged?

H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formatsI've never encounter any stretched faces incidents before. If you find it troublesome, here are some iPod video converters I recommend:
MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats

Lol. Creative's Zen Vision screen i admit is better than iPod Video la. But its so damn big! Carry onto MRT like watching portable tv like that. Ppl will think you are a clown. Their Vision M, though smaller, also has lousier video quality than iPod Video.Originally posted by thetwotheories:ipod video not bad lah , but the screen and quality not as good as creative.

If your converting is slow, something is not right. Check your specs and maybe its because you are using the free convertor downloaded from online, that why.
