USB problem

Hi guys,
Have u encounter if u cannot detect ur usb hard disk from your PC? It could have be the power is not enough for the hard disk cos it still can read thumb drive but if ur usb port is connected to the usb hub and still not recongise, does anyone have any idea what is the problem?
I heard that if u set a network drive at G and u have a C, D and E drive, and u have a F drive as CD rom, then if u pluck in ur usb drive into the PC, if will not identify ur temporary harddisk as it is already taken up by the network drive.
Is it true for the above problem?? -
yes, occasionally my computer also cannot detect my USB hard disk. what i do is pluck out both point, shake them up, blow air into both ends and it works.

yes i know. mine can also detect my thumb drive and all other USB devices except my USB hard disk. so i just did the thing i mention above and it works.Originally posted by SpeedStar:the thing is it can detect the thumb drive.
