Monitoring Computer Log In Times?

  Does anyone know how i can download a programme which allows me to check the usage of the computer? Example what time it is switched on and off.

  Certain firewall applications record logs of every intrusion detected. You can check from there. For example, ZoneAlarm logs are located at C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs, the .txt files named ZALog*date*.txt
  
  There should be a log file within Windows itself that records every login and usage of the computer, but I forgot where it is...

  Im not really a genius at computers so i dont really understand that sorry..
