i have a licensed window xp sp2 ... recently i happen to download a installer for the not yet relased sp3 over the net..so if i install this service pack 3 will my licensed winxp become a chiong version??

There is no such thing as SP3 for Windows XP... Yet... -
Don't be itchy hand and download. After Microsoft lock you out from updating Windows, you will get a headache.

Thats what the beta testers are saying. No official announcement from M$ that it'll be delayed. They are still pushing for the Oct deadline. Lots of the testers feel that M$ won't be ready.Originally posted by FireIce:heard wun be ready in time for Oct launch
If I am ever going to get Vista, I'll at least wait for SP1. Right now, XP works well for me, after hundreds of patches... -

no prob with XP SP2 so far...never check M$ update so much since my comp auto DL and update any patches.
Beta stuff can try since it greatly depends of user feedback before the official release but i dun want to be the guinea pig. looking forward to 64bit computing and XP has been around for too long i think...been using it since mid 2002 'til now -
im using office 2007 beta 2
with my SLOW machine, it's a pain in the S but it's cool
