Do you prefer DIY or buy pc off the shelf?

  Ive been usually Dell Dimension 8100 for 6 yrs liao no problem at all except upgraded ram and change gfx card and upgrade HDD.
  
  Even tho I know your to assemble but I will still go back to Dell.
  
  1. Any problem I dont have to waste time fix myself ..
  2. Price's competitive to thise DIYed these days
  3. Chassis is pretty
  4. Dell bought over Alienware and that is something i hope to have enough $$$ to buy

  just buy a pc. cos: no need to worry about getting it spoilt cos got warrenty. its it saves u alot of headache.

  here are some mindsets about DIY and OEMs for buyer preference :-
  
  DIY are usually preferred by enthusiast
  DIY may/ may not be cheaper than OEMS.
  some ppl DIY because they want cheap parts..mix and match of 2nd hand parts and new parts are also considered DIY literally
  some ppl buy OEMs because they want to operate a PC on the fly after they remove the hardware from its packaging.
  noobs start off with OEMs
  noobs who somehow started off with DIY may/ may not be put off with the same act after that depending on their initial build
  if you change PC once every 3-5 years...getting an extended warranty kills most of the problem through the servicing life of the hardware for u
  when you DIY any compatibility issues with the varies hardware u r on your own
