mine only 1 hour 45 min
I'm using ThinkpadT41, it's a centrino and 2+ years old........
is it normal??? -
2 hours to 3 hours ++, depending on what application I use.
Processor running at full speed, brightness at its lowest.
Centrino also. Acer user.
It's quite normal, especially if you run it at full speed and brightness at it's highest. Even more so if you use Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver.
Using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, check email, surfing would last around 2 hours or somewhere near that. -
Wah lau eh, my 3 year old acer 1.8ghz m, no centrino can do better than urs 3++hrs.

If you can keep your lappie running cool, the fans won't need to work so hard.

mine lasts less than an hour .... it's a 3 year old hp pavillion .... the battery's fried .....
but at least it doesn't burst into flames ....

3+ hours for mine with lowest brightness & speed. Putting your laptop on the bed reduces the bottom air circulation and so it heats up quickly, resulting in fans working faster and shorter battery. I usually place mine on a hard surface on the bed, like placing a big file below or something. Or i balance it between my knees

i never tried with lowest speed and brightness, but 2hrs 30mins for high speed(not max) and lowest brightness
