Dear all,
It seems Sony has been manufacturing bad batteries for not just Dell, but Apple as well! The same safety issue is here, that the batteries will explode during use.
From the Apple Battery Recall site:
The affected batteries were sold worldwide from October 2003 through August 2006 for use with the following notebook computers: 12-inch iBook G4, 12-inch PowerBook G4 and 15-inch PowerBook G4.
If the first 5 digits of your batteryÂ’s 12-digit serial number fall within the noted ranges, please order a replacement battery immediately.
