PC shuts down for no reason

  Hi my computer shut down by itself without any apparent reasons.It is not the first time(abt like 4 times already,twice 2dae) and unfortunally i do not know how does it shut down on all occasions as i was not using the pc and it was juz idling away... Norton Antivirus scans turn out nothing....
  
  anyone know whats the prob and how to solve?

  PC is clean. Could be overheating and PC shuts down for no reason.
  
  Check the temperature in BIOS.
  
  If you overclock, please set them back to the default.

  Is the ventilation around your PC good? Is your fan functioning properly? Sounds like overheating although you're only idling away.

  ventilation should be good as its not in enclosed space...fan is working as can feel the air blowing out..is there any programs to check if there's prob wif the motherboard?
