100,000 pre-release Vistas up for grabs

MICROSOFT is letting 100,000 guinea pigs download flaky versions of its upcoming Vista suite of cobbled-together programs.
The code includes what we used to call an operating system and has loads of stuff on top, designed primarily to leverage Microsoft's monopoly position.

yah, its genuine free copy...cuz next time when they launch, you will have to buy liao...like $300+ a genuine copy...but now its free...
so, alot of people or IT pple can grab one first, and burn copies!
But then, if you install and use, it will suck a lot of memory and resources...

Vista Home Basic Edition is around S$367.90. Pricing may vary upon actual release. If you're upgrading from XP, its about S$183.30. -
