  OVERPRODUCTION of LCD flat panels and fierce competition from the manufacturers is likely to lead to prices falling by nearly a third next year, a Reuters report said.
  LG and Sharp made the announcement at a consumer electronics show in Germany, but such remarks are unlikely to make people dip into their wallets in the run up to Yuletide, we'd expect.
  
  LCD TV prices fell by a third last year, according to an LG executive. The problem is fierce competition matched by continual moves to create more efficient next generation LCD processes.

  Rmb few yrs ago the bluechip bloom?
  
  IT and electronics industries had all time soar in sales and stock values?
  
  but now?walk abt anywhere and look at their prices...all have dipped so much..thumbdrive to laptops all have prices slash
  
  Its really nt the overproduction but the saturated market..

  The electronics industries is very lucrative
  
  even if the brand is unknown,there will be consumers for the products in the "bloom" period.
  As long as it serve its purpose and they can get it at an affordable prices,the company gets their keeping
  
  however,the market are easily saturated and their prices dipped very quickly
  Note the prices of a 41' plasma 4 years back as compared to now
  
  a 30% drop in prices
  
  factors usually bcuz if the prices as too high,they wun be able to deliver all their productions
  
  2nd
  
  after they sucessfully sold their goods,productions continues and with other compeitors doing the same,the slash the prices to grab a larger share of the remanant in the market.
  
  so if their prices are in the competitive range with other makes,they can hold out in that product
  
  however,the main revenues comes from their R&D
  they have to constantly deliver new products to attract the customer
