Hmm, have any of you guys seen an ad at bus stops, advertising only an Intel desktop, without extra stuff like monitors, keyboards etc?

If I am not wrong, its a 3.2 GHz Intel CPU bundle, with 40 GB HDD, XP Home Edition and one more paraphernilia that I have forgotten

I am not sure if its by Dell, but I am sure like to know if you guys know what brand it is.

anyway, got two offers, one is desktop only, the other one is with monitor

the only way is to wait till Tuesday when i get back to school, but i want to check it up while i have the time

A good enough PC as you said. Not too sure about the services though, as everything is cheap enough.

can, worth it!

remember to ask about warrantee periods..for the pc and ind. items.

Also ask for upgrade of 256mb ram to at least 512 or 1gb..cuz running windows, surfing net and doing some work simultaneously, seriously 256mb abit too little.

Else, for $399 is cool! Razz

OOHH...one thing, its in Linux open office OS, so you may not be familiar in it...as its not microsoft explorer...

maybe mayi can help you by advising if you can reformat the PC and install Microsoft OS? Very Happy

Just buy the Windows CD from Funan or Sim Lim or order online and install it can liao.

Just do a clean install, otherwise it will dual boot.

By the way, it's open source, not open office. Open Office is the free version of Microsoft Office, by Sun.

Sure can install Windows. This system is clearly x86.

Anyway, what do you mean by Mac system? Mac now uses both PowerPC and x86.

Or so you mean PowerPC architecture or x86 architecture?
