How to get rid of this without reformatting? I tried deleting the whole D:\WINDOWS\system32 but cant.. Pls help.. PLS PLS PLS

You CANNOT delete the system32 folder. It is part of Microsoft Windows. Deleting it would crash Windows and you have no choice but to reformat.Originally posted by oldbandit:Scan type: Auto-Protect Scan

Try scanning in Safe Mode and see if helps in removing.
Restart computer. Keep on pressing F8. It will bring up a menu. Select Safe Mode and press Enter. -

Are you using norton?
If you are, click on the virus name, it will lead you to norton support site. And norton will teach you how to clear it. Thats what i like about norton. Anything it can detect it can provide solutons to clear. Very effective! -
For safe mode
During login just press F2 or F8 and the display asks for
Normal mode
Safe Mode
.
.
..
just click safe mode.
when you are in safe mode start scanning again and try to qarantine the file.
you cannot delete system 32 folder but you can delete the specific file.
first run the anti virus and by seeing your post, it seems McAfee.
Run it again. -

norton symantec client security antivirus. is wad i am using. Not really sure how to use this. tried scanning but state no trace/ record on the file. But keep geeting the same pop up again and again. Use ad-aware also no use.Originally posted by davidche:Are you using norton?

Click it and it will lead you to the clearing or what has caused it description
If it is not clickable, go to google and type : virus name norton
Shld be able to go to the same webpage as descibed above.
