Yes.... still patching, as long as Windows is still the popular OS...
When the other OSes overtake Windows, that's when you probably have lesser updates, attackers go for money.

i wonder.. can we sue microsloth for selling us a dodgy product?
if say, GM made a car and sold it.. and the car kept requiring new parts by GM, the people would have forced GM to recall the car
no one has demanded a proper OS from microsloth? -
Seriously, I can't find a reason why people would want sue Microsoft. They are so used to Microsoft that it's almost impossible for them to make a switch.
Not to say beginners, even experienced users complain of it. I was laughing when a hacker he can't get a Mac to run. He was cursing and swearing throughout.
