15,500 in six weeks, not quite there yet

HP IS LAYING off 15,500 people before the end of the year, in this case, that means October 31. It has already gotten rid of a bunch of those people, but there are still a lot to go.
Since HP gives people a four week goodbye period, and they have to be out the door in about six weeks, that means a lot of activity in the next two weeks.
If you are called in for a surprise meeting with your manager before the end of the month, don't expect it to be good news
