DVD burner

i got a DVD+Rewritable drive, which can't write dvd. Whenever i drag an item into the folder, it would say an error has occured. anyone knows what happen to the drive?
sometime, it can't even read a dvd(which i suspect they're dvd9s). should i change e dvd drive or can it be fixed? -
What kind of error. What error message?
DVD drives can read all formats of DVD -
your blank dvd is wad formet? +/- rw? or wad?

What DVD you bought?
You bought a DVD+Rewritable drive, using a DVD-Rewritable disc may not work. There are differences between a DVD+RW and DVD-RW.
If you have indeed bought the wrong type of discs, you have to buy again, as I don't think shops will allow you to exchange since you have opened and tried to write it. -

Open My Computer. Right click on your DVD drive and select Properties. Go to the Recording tab. Under Select a write speed, bla bla bla, click on the drop down menu. It will show all the speeds available.
