JSTL/JSP Last Insert ID()

  juz wondering if anyone can help me with this prob..
  
  

  code:

  
  select last_insert_id() as id
  
  
  
  
  last inserted id -> ${row.id}
  

  
  
  the above code hor.. is supposed to display "last inserted id -> 24", where 24 is an example id last inserted.
  
  but it doesn't, because the row returned is {=25}, the column name is empty.
  
  how to access the id properly huh?
  
  if all else fail, im gonna substring it.

  Try restarting it? MS SQL is also one of the kind. Every time I edit must restart then it will show properly. If not, empty entries here and there. Or the number go haywire.

  Really. Maybe I don't know how to use MS SQL... so resulted in this. MySQL easier to use.
