  Where should I store the dll file to? My downloading still doesn't seem to work even after I have downloaded the MFC42D.dll file.

  Try Windows folder or System32 folder.

  Should be in your windows/system32 folder I suppose.

  Downloaded the other dll file.
  
  So now I am getting a "Ordinal 5093 could not be located in the dynamic link library MFC42D.dll" message when I try downloading my crap.

  those DLL files dun suka suka move them
  
  if U need them elsewhere,just go edit ur PATH environment.

  Try System32 folder. Most system files are in the System32 folder.

  Think it's really F9 for you then.
  
  A lot of files seem missing. Try system restore. If it still can't work, I think reformat and reinstall is the word.
