Similar drive name?

  I have problem retrieving files from a card reader as it's drive name eg. E: takes the same drive name as one of the network drives on my PC.
  
  So E: drive has already been used for PC network. I can't read the E: drive from the card reader...
  
  Anyway I can overcome this?

  Try disconnecting from the network drive.
  
  Open My Computer. Right click on that network drive and select Disconnect from network drive.

  I thought of doing something like that?
  
  But my OS is highly dependent on the network. I'm afraid if I disconnect, the program I need for opening the files of my card reader drive might not be available?

  Hmm... then not too sure then. Try asking your IT admins for help.

  u can remap the network drive to another letter ... go to the folder on the server .. right click on it .. select map network drive .. select another letter .. than apply ok ..
  
  after u have done that ... disconnet the drive letter that is similar to yr usb device

  Hmm.. Sounds a little alien but I roughly get the idea?
