VLC player

  i heard thatt VLC player can play lots of format..downloaded it n tried...but cannot use leh...there seems to be some error..i open some normal file which is in wmv format..i can only hear cracking abnormal sounds of the video,i can't see the video images at all...help!

  Have you tried some other video files other than only that wmv file?

  all got the same problem..btw,i nv changed any settings..i DL n used it straight away

  I also use VLC...not bad...can even repair avi files....
  
  U sure ur wmv file is not corrupted?
  
  I dont have problems using VLC with wmv files.

  Can other players play the file concerned? If not then maybe the problem lies with you hardware or hardware driver.
  
  In my experience, if you computer can handle it, VLC will play it. It is unsurpassed as a player.
  
  Alternatively, and this is to be treated as a last ditch effort type of thing, try d/ing the FFDshow codecs. That will allow your Media players to play almost anything as well.

  Try opening the WMV file in Windows Media Player first. If you can't open it with Windows Media Player, that file is gone case. Re-download it.

  my version 0.8.4a is working fine. this is a great player, really loved it.
