Firefox problem!!!!!

Walau.... My come restarted itself yesterday nad now all my bookmarks and search engines are gone...
Any advices? -

should see a folder that is named'bookmarkbackups'
if there are more than 1 bookmark backup file there you should select the one that is the latest created one -

But I copy and paste it on the navigation toolbar and ended up in the firefox download site... Anyway, howcome google is not in the list...? -
strange..is because of the https code.That's why only copy and paste ..think there dont have cause the google search bar should have been the search engine in the browser by default

Hey... I just figured out something... Mozilla Firefox has a safe mode which can re-install my quick searches... You could see this from the start menu... Anyone else have same problem can use this...

Sorry to hijack your thread and updating an old post but just want to ask why does my firefox always restart? As in the sense that, some other times later, my homepage will be set as default which is the firefox homepage and all saved bookmarks will be gone. Any idea to prevent such from happening? thanks

Uninstalling does clear history and there's no way to get it back. -

I think your profile may be corrupted. Try creating a new profile and see how.
To create a new one:
Click on Start, then Run. Copy/paste firefox.exe -profilemanager into the text box. Click OK.
Click Create profile
Click Next
Choose a name for the profile (OasisBlue perhaps) and click Finish
Click on Start Firefox
Firefox should start, using the new profile. Your Bookmarks should be still there, but in the old profile. If you wish to transfer them, navigate to this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles.
Open the folder (double-click) and you should see two folders which start with random characters. One will be called xxxxxxx.default and the other xxxxxxx.rivo (or whatever name you used for the new profile). Open the xxxxxxx.default folder. Right-click on bookmarks.html and click Copy. Go back and then open the xxxxxxx.rivo folder. Right-click on the the right-hand pane and click Paste. You will be asked if you want to replace the existing file (bookmarks.html) - click Yes. -
