Where to get replacement adapter?

  Hi,
  
  The adapter for my Motorola's broadband modem (used with Starhub) has gone kaput (burnt out with a pop sound and chaotar smell). But luckily the modem is still okay, I've tested with my friend's adapter.
  
  Now the problem is, where can I get a replacement adapter? It's over warranty period already. I don't really need the same adapter, just one that gives me the same power at 12v, 1.25Amp, and can plug into my modem's hole.
  
  Anybody knows which shop sells a bunch of adapters, so that I can go and choose one that's suitable? Or is there any adapters in the market that I can adjust its output voltage and current?
  
  I'm using my office internet now. So the next time I come in again to check this thread will probably be tomorrow morning in office.

  bring it and go SIm Lim Square ... those shops behind one...got sell

  Any other alternatives? I'd prefer not to go to Sim Lim Square if there's other places.

  Sim Lim is quite hard to find.
  
  You might have better luck in Funan, got most of my cables there.

  Go to Sim Lim Tower, level 3, there's two shops in front of the escalator... Go to the shop on the left... It's around $18 for a 12V 1.25A adapter...

  A little tip... next time turn off power from the socket...

  want to buy adaptor no need specially go until sim lim...just take ur spoilt adaptor to the neighbourhood electrical/hardware shop and show the salesperson ur adaptor...all the power and current ratings should be on the adaptor...then he/she can find one that fits urs....there are adjustable adaptors around...just that the price is higher than those non-adjustable ones...

  Actually I did turn it off. But, when I wanted to use it I just plugged the 2 pin plug into a LIVE 2 pin socket. Then kaput. Haha I think next time I'll plug in first BEFORE I turn on the socket.

  It's a Motorola SB5100. Almost 3 years liao.
