Warning messages on computer

  Hi,
  
  Just wanted to check on what I should do when a message stating that "a voltage probe has exceeded a critical threshold" pops up on the computer. It then requires me to shut down the computer (which I did - rebooted it and all) but the message still appears every 5 mins on my computer.
  
  Any suggestions on how to get rid of this problem? Or what the source of the problem is?

  Power surge problem.... too much power to a particular device.
  
  Not too sure what's causing it, got to call up Dell. They probably connected one of the cables or devices wrongly, causing a power surge.

  Or can I just rewire my cables and connections?

  If your comp is new (bought last year or this year) I think it will be solved if you change the Power Supply Unit. The ones they use are usually under rated or under powered.
  
  If after replacing the PSU and still shows this message, then a device inside may have a leaking capacitor, or that one or more capacitors are swollen or leaking.

  Though I would have prefered a "Click one button and solve the problem" kind of solution.
