meanwhile pppl not to worry..vista will take a while and our XP for noobs, for homes for professionals will be around for at least 2-3 years down the road. i hope all companies forced to upgrade to 64 bit too because if u take a walk down some still using very old comp.

i think even if vista finally readies itself it will take a while before M$ even dare to 'force' every user (including medium or small businesses) to switch to 64bit. after all most office applications works fine with just 32bit. so how will M$ answer to those who may still be using XP/ 32 bit in the event of a virus outbreak? blame the users for not upgrading to 64? i believe they will still hav to offer security updates and patches.Originally posted by chenc:Haix, just hope ms will not stop their web support and security upgrades for xp at the end of 2007. -

whatever the hell i'm doing in the office, i don't even need a P4
heck! all most people use these days in the office usually do not stray further than MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and very rarely Access..
you can use the 1995 versions of those things on a bloody P2 and still come out with the same result..
what's the use of all that power for?
i asked my tech side this and they were unable to give me an answer... actually, i don't think they can answer anything at all.. whenever something goes wrong, it's either "cold boot", "reset" or they just change the set -

Most middle or big cooperations depends on servers for communication.
And a Win95 isn't really server friendly.
