How Do I Verify if SD Card is Faulty?

  I have a 1Gb Kinston SD Card, which I think MAY BE faulty because whenever I use it in my PDA phone, it either hangs or Hard Resets my device!
  
  I wonder, will 3rd party software cause this issue too?
  
  Any advise or info will be much appreciated.

  u put it to a computer is ok?

  likely corrupted data/structure...
  format on pc and try again...
