the papers go through but no words came out...
i thought maybe my ink cartridge dried liao (although it is quite a new one that i have put in)
so i opened a new box and put in a brand new ink cartridge to try
STILL THE SAME!!!
what could be the problem? what should i check? the printer model is Canon BJC 3000... -
BJC 3000 is an old model.
It could be that the printer head is worn out. -

One day my printer refused to print at all and the warning light flashed non-stop. I checked the book and it stated that the waste ink reservoir was full and needed replacing.
When I went down to the service center, the service rep explained that it would cost me at least $150 for repairs as the printer head needed replacing as well. He advised me to buy a new printer instead - which I did.
You might want to try bringing your printer down to the Canon service center at Harbourfront and asking them for advice. -

I bought it from NUS at a students' discount of $79. I can't afford to spend a lot. -
side track a bit....
canon printhead can last for an average of how long?
assuming that printing is done maybe once every 2 months?
