To threadstarter: if you want to buy, NOD32 or Kaspersky would be good. -
The best AV is one that never tells you to update it, never tells you there's a problem with it, never need to fiddle around with it, never need to install any anti this and that on top of it, and never need you to wonder if its actually running.

McAfee,coz it intercepted Sasser worm twice in a row when i surfed the web via my sch pc.

It has a comprehensive list of antivirus. Read through the whole website to get a better idea.
Usually antivirus that are ICSA certified are better, because they are tested and proven to work well. Non-ICSA certified means they most likely don't perform well. -

i don't recommend norton antivirus.. no doubt it is good in resolving viruses.. it definitely laggs ur com.. even if u using a damn hell fast pc..

NOD32 is by far one of the best. It uses the least system resources among the known brands.
