its not a virus..its a window debugger...
but strangely..when i got a notice in a middle of a slowdown(of the processor) saying that this process is not functioning,the whole computer grinded to a halt and hve to restart. -

Such forums are hidden anyway, you won't get to see them till you join them. -

yes mine should have activated when my some of my programs crashed...BUT i only known about the process when apparently an Windows error said that the debugger itself encountered a problem a moment after the program crash and need to close.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Dr Watson is supposed to activate when programs crashed, not crashed when programs crashed. -

This happens sometimes when the computer is being forced to shut down and restart when programs aren't fully loaded. It can also be caused by viruses... and the latest virus shows a lot of Dr Watson processes running, which produces lots of error messages.
You may have noticed files with a .t extension, provided you have unhide Windows files. This is the latest infection. -
Dr Watson is a program in Windows that will send error reports to Microsoft when a serious error occurred. An example is blue screen of death, although it may not be necessary so.Originally posted by xiaosotong:wht is it DRwatson
If you have the necessary tools, you can debug the error yourself. Those texts are barely readable. -

There is a virus called Dr.Watson and can spread through intranets, the Internet, or other e-mail. This virus installs itself as a memory-resident program but however does not contain a destructive payload. It is incapable of infecting floppy disk or hard drive boot records. It does not try to actively conceal itself. This virus infects files in a manner that makes disinfection impossible.
