my123 hijacks your IE home page and it can't be set back no matter what.
On 11 November, 360Safe released a removal tool for it. Here's the removal tool. Follow the guide here to extract files.
Given the seriousness of this problem, thousands of PC users could have been affected. It is also very similar to piaoxue.com, feixue.net, 73ss.com, 9505.com, 81915.com, 4199.com, etc browser hijacks that has taken place earlier this year.
This my123 infection is rather different from the rest though: it attacks users on 11 November when most the police are on leave. This leaves most users helpless. (No idea what has the police got to do with this though, maybe due to China blocking of servers or something?)
Notes: I couldn't find the source of infection though. I'm using Firefox and is not affected by it. Not sure with IE. Have not test it yet.
I have not test the tool either. If it works, just reply here that it works. Thanks.
Don't give me HijackThis logs. The log will turn up clean.Originally posted by davidche:It should be a adware, since its advertising its website.
