My motherboard is Abit VIAK8T, using Galaxy Geforce 6600 VGA card and Kingston ram.
Currently I am facing black display for 2-3 sec every now and then and will return back to normal. Whenever I played a video and play game my PC will hang after awhile example when I am watching one movie for like 1hr 30mins sometimes will hang for like 5-10 time or even more and sometimes once or twice some for games. Even when I am listening to song/surf net/open document/pictures, my PC will hanged. The situation is getting worse that now the PC will hang even when I juz restarted my pc after hanging.
I suspect it might due to my ram as my motherboard can only read single side, but mine is a double side ramÂ…. therefore the 2 x 512mb ram I bought ended up to be only a total of 512mb ram only.
Does anyone noe wat my prob is? Is it the ram prob?
If I change my ram will I still have this black screen or hang prob?
I seriously need help on this itÂ’s been for like 6mths+++ and itÂ’s getting worse.

If I am changing ram, is patriot pc3200 DDR400 1gb 2 x 512mb suitable for my mother board?

If you have a spare graphics card, try it and see if the same thing happens again.
i dun have a space graphic card >.<" gave my old one away =(
