I have 2 windows xp cd. 1 is windows xp home and the other is pro. however, whenever i install them(i boot it when i on my pc), it will go into the menu and after i formatted my harddisk, it will copy all the files needed.
that's when the problem comes in, everything goes smoothly so far until now. at the windows XP loading screen, after a few bar went by, it suddenly got stuck there. i rebooted my com, but it doesn't work. i tried the disk on my laptop, it's workable. however when i boot it on my desktop, this problem will come up. help needed! about to send for repair already. T-T -
I has problems when copying coz you com hardware need to be PERFECT or else something like this may happen... try troubleshooting your hardware and see whats wrong... most probably its your RAM... start there...

That most likely means Windows have not been installed properly. It is unlikely to be caused by your hardware.
Try the other XP CD and see if you have the same results. -

Ok stuff that might cause this problem...
(1) Pirated XP CD... You use pirated ones ofcourse lah got this problem...
(2) Original XP CD is dirty... Clean the CD and try again...
(3) Your CD reader can't read properly... Try using another CD reader...
(4) Other miscellaneous hardware problems... RAM, Motherboard, CPU... must trouble suit... -
Can you go to safe mode? Probably you need to change the cmos battery in the motherboard.. Pls let me know your current state so i assist you better
